Ukiyo-e printmaker. First the pupil of Koikawa Harumachi, the successful popular author of his time; after his death, adopted his name and called himself Koikawa Harumachi  Nisei. Is said to have married the widow of Kitagawa Utamaro, eventually calling himself Utamaro II. Is also belived to have worked with Utamaro on some of the latter’s prints. A minor figure, feebly imitating the great master.
